Habitable Air
Habitable Air
Presented by The Habitable Air Project and curated by Kerry Ryan Chance and Courtney Morris, this collection remixes ecological and social histories, bringing together fragments of environmental devastation, industrial iconography, protest imagery, and sensory experience into new constellations. Climate change and toxicity are not only entangled contemporary crises but also hauntings: they are the afterlives of extractive ruins, colonial legacies, and systemic inequality that persist in bodies, landscapes, and atmospheres. By remixing multiple materials, the artworks the artworks reveal how the past refuses to stay buried while also opening speculative spaces where alternative futures can be imagined.
